Nasha Mukta Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyaan to Launch on 2 August
The Nasha Mukta Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyaan is a 100-week youth mobilisation campaign scheduled for launch on 2 August 2026. The initiative is organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports through MY Bharat, and it is linked with the goal of a drug-free India.
Campaign Structure
The campaign is designed as a sustained Jan Bhagidari movement, which means people’s participation. More than 1 crore youth are expected to take the Nasha Mukti Pledge at nearly 10,000 locations across India during the launch.
Participating Institutions
The campaign will involve MY Bharat Volunteers, the National Service Scheme, Youth Clubs, Schools, Colleges, Universities, Non-Governmental Organisations, Industrial Associations, and more than 125 spiritual organisations. These groups are expected to support outreach, mobilisation, and local-level activities during the 100-week period.
Activity Pattern and Recognition
Weekly activities are planned every Sunday for 100 weeks. The list includes sports competitions, walkathons, meditation sessions, cultural programmes, art competitions, and street plays. Volunteers and organisations with notable contributions will be recognised at the 50th, 75th, and 100th week milestones.
