Congress leader Suraj Hegde died at the age of 55 on 7 June 2026 at a private hospital in Bengaluru, Karnataka. He died of cardiac arrest. At the time of his death, he served as an All India Congress Committee secretary and as Vice-Chairman of the Karnataka government’s Guarantee Committee.
