A ₹24 crore model school is under construction in Amethi’s Laukapur

A model school costing about ₹24 crore is under construction in Laukapur, in Bhetua block of Amethi district, Uttar Pradesh. More than half of the construction work is reported complete. Officials expect the handover process to finish by the end of 2026 or early 2027.

Planned facilities and capacity

The school is planned to accommodate 1,500 to 2,000 children. Proposed facilities include smart classrooms, science and computer laboratories, a digital library and health facilities. Plans also include rooms and accommodation for teachers.
