Steadfast Defender 21

Steadfast Defender 21 is a military exercise held by member countries of North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) across the Atlantic, Europe and the Black Sea. The exercise seeks to enhance the 30-member NATO alliance’s ability to deploy troops from the US and keep supply line open. It will improve the countermeasures against attacks targeting any one of the member countries.

This exercise is held amid the rising tensions between Russia and the West. It came right after the Russian government released a footage of its nuclear capable bombers Tu-22M3 flying over the Mediterranean Sea.
