As per the Scientists at the NASA, the Perseverance rover deployed its parachute through the atmosphere of the Mars.
During the process, it flashed a secret code of red-and-white stripes across the sky, which was seen as random pattern of concentric circles. It was decoded in some hours and found that it is a message written in binary computer code, which spelt “Dare Mighty Things”.

Australia has passed a new law, which will require digital platforms like Facebook and Google to pay local media outlets and publishers to link their content in news feeds or search results.
The “News Media and Digital Platforms Mandatory Bargaining Code” aims to remunerate the news media businesses for the content they generate. Earlier, Google agreed to pay the publishers for news content in France.

Vijay Sampla, former Union Minster recently took charge as the chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC), after being appointed by the President of India.
He served as the Union Minister of state for Social Justice and Empowerment from 2014 to 2019. Ram Shankar Katheria was earlier the head of NCSC.

Recently, members of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) have discovered the first epigraphical to the death of Krishnadevaraya Nayaka.
Krishnadevaraya Nayaka was the emperor of Vijayanagara empire and ruled the kingdom from 1509-1529 AD. The epigraphical reference was found near Gopalakrishna temple at Honnenahalli of Tumkur district in Karnataka.

India’s foreign minister S. Jaishankar and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi recently had a phone conversation.
During the conversation, both the countries have agreed to set up a hotline, amidst various stand-offs. The foreign Ministers also acknowledged the disengagement of troops from the north and south banks of Pangong Tso lake.

The United States of America (USA) headed by Joe Biden has recently approved a military strike against Syria. This was followed by retaliatory air strikes on Syria by the US forces.
Earlier, it is said that “Iran-backed militia” in Syria had launched rocket attacks against the US force in Iraq.

India’s ace wrestler Vinesh Phogat wont he gold medal at the Ukrainian Wrestlers and Coaches Memorial tournament.
Vinesh Phogat, the world number three wrestler defeated the 2017 world champion V Kaladzinskay to win the gold medal. She is the only Indian woman wrestler to have qualified for the Tokyo Olympic Games.

Notes:
Exercise Desert Flag is a multinational exercise, which is to be held in the United Arab Emirates. Ten countries are to take part in this exercise including India, France and the U.S. This exercise will be held for three weeks this month.
This semi-annual exercise will involve multiple, intensive air combat sorties. IAF’s Su-30-MKI and C-17s fighter jets took off recently to participate in this exercise.

Notes:
The Third Jan Aushadhi Diwas celebrations started on March 1, 2021. The one-week-long celebrations would conclude on March 7, 2021. To mark the celebrations, the Jan Aushadhi Kendras conducted the Health Check-up Camps.
The health check-up activities include Sugar level check-up, blood Pressure check-up, free doctor consultation and free medicine distribution.

Prime Minister Modi inaugurated ‘Maritime India Summit 2021’, organised by the Ministry of Sports, Shipping and Waterways.
India also launched a real-time vessel tracking system called ‘Sagar-Manthan: Mercantile Marine Domain Awareness Centre (MMDAC)’. It is to be operated by DG Shipping and can also track foreign vessels as well as foreign vessels.
