Notes:
The Market Regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India approved amendments to SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
It extended the requirement for formulation of dividend distribution policy by the existing top 500 listed companies to the top 1,000 listed companies. It also relaxed norms for listing of start-ups.

Notes:
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has mandated companies to disclose trade payables in their financial statements.
The trade payables are to be declared as per the ageing namely less than one year, 1-2 years, 2-3 years, and more than three years. With this, the Government can easily track whether the company has paid the dues of vendors especially the MSMEs.

Notes:
The Union Jal Shakti Ministry approved Rs 465 crore performance to 7 states under the Jal Jeevan Mission. These states are Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Sikkim, Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.
The Ministry has stated that Gujarat was among the best performing in implementing the Jal Jeevan Mission.

Notes:
Garhwal Himalaya, a sub-range of the Himalayas, is located in the state of Uttarakhand. It is named so because of several Garhs (forts) found in this mountainous region.
Recently, a team of researchers found that during 8th Century CE, these forts were strategically built to form clusters and varied levels like valleys, ridges and hill tops. The rulers used them to relay information signals using smoke and fire when facing enemy attack.

The Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) has amended the rules pertaining to location of thermal power plants within 10 km of major cities with more than 10 lakh population and the National Capital Region.
As per the amended rules, certain emission norms have been mandated to be adhered by the thermal power plants latest by the end of 2022.

The Union Minister of Finance has notified that business entities with turnover of more than Rs 5 crore will have to furnish six-digit HSN – Harmonised System of Nomenclature on the invoices issued for supplies.
HSN is an internationally standardized system of names and numbers to classify traded products which came into effect in 1988.

Haryana has recently amended several provisions under its Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Legislative Assembly of the state.
The new provisions include mandating presence of at least two ministers and preventing the members from tearing off documents in the House in protest. This is expected to maintain the decorum of the house.

The UNESCO has recently released a report titled “World 2030: Public Survey Report”. This report is based on surveys conducted around the world from May 2020 to September 2020.
As per the report, climate change, violence and conflict, loss of biodiversity, discrimination and inequality etc are some of the important challenges affecting a peaceful society.

Hubert Hurkacz of Poland has recently clinched the Miami Open Men’s title. He defeated Jannik Sinner of Italy to take away the cup.
Presently, he is ranked 37th in the world. He has defeated two top 10 opponents in this tournament. With this he is projected to move up to 16th in world ranking.

The Government of India has promulgated an Ordinance that allows the use of pre-packs as an insolvency resolution mechanism for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This is applicable for defaults upto an amount of Rs. 1 crore.
A pre-pack is an agreement for the resolution of debt of a distressed MSME through an agreement between secured creditors and investors instead of a public bidding process.
