Notes: Madan Mohan Malviya was one of the founders of Barat Scouts and Guides. He also founded an influential English newspaper, Leader, in 1919, published in Allahabad. He was also Chairman of the Hindustan Times from 1924 to 1946. His efforts led to the launch of its Hindi-language Hindustan Dainik in 1936.
