SHE-LEAPS Platform for Rural Women Entrepreneurs

SHE-LEAPS, or Self-Help Entrepreneur-Livelihoods and Enterprise Application for Prosperity and Sustainability, is a digital platform launched on 29 June 2026 for women associated with Self-Help Groups in rural India. It was introduced during the Rashtriya Gramin Vikas Sammelan in New Delhi, a two-day conference with the theme “Gramodaya Se Rashtrodaya”.

Platform and institutional framework

SHE-LEAPS was developed by the Digital India Corporation and is implemented under the LokOS platform. The platform provides a unified digital ecosystem for enterprise creation, monitoring, and real-time performance tracking of rural entrepreneurs.

Coverage and enterprise support

The platform covers both farm and non-farm enterprises across rural India. It is designed to support livelihood generation, enterprise development, and financial inclusion for women linked to Self-Help Groups.

Lakhpati Didi mission linkage

SHE-LEAPS is linked with the Lakhpati Didi mission, which aims to increase the incomes of rural women. The target of the mission has been raised from three crore to six crore women, and ₹10 lakh crore is planned for release over the next five years.

Implementation across India

SHE-LEAPS will be implemented in 34 States and Union Territories. It will assist State Rural Livelihood Missions in managing rural entrepreneurship data and enterprise journeys.
