India is headed to become the most-polarised society in the world with the growing rarity of reasoned argument. Comment.

Freedom of expression is not negotiable but it definitely cannot infringe upon the rights of a person. There is a growing need for consistency in the verdict. Press is partisan. But the fact remains that the culture of free speech has slowly eroded. Every political or ideological argument takes the shape of a moral issue. There is a lack of reasoned arguments and culture of commenting on trending issue is on the rise without getting into the need to explore the issues further. All trolls or campaigns are aimed at showing that the person is not worth listening to and his freedom of expression stands compromised. India is thus turning into a polarized society where everyone feels offended when they or their parties are attacked and at the same time shout about freedom of speech when it is the turn of others.
