Potential of artificial intelligence in E-governance:
- Data analysis and finding patterns to reflect the needs of the people.
- To guide policy-making through the feedback received by the AI system.
- To decrease the cases of corruption and maladministration through enhanced technologies like Blockchain.
- Making the government more accountable and transparent through the adoption of AI systems.
- Making the government more efficient and effective by finding out the lapses or the areas of improvement.
- Targeted approach to different sections of population or different regions, e.g.
- Use of vernacular languages.
- Use of speech to text and vice versa.
- Make e-governance more accessible.
Niti Aayog has already developed an Artificial Intelligence agenda for India. Government must undertake research and development in the field of AI for its optimal adoption and use.
