thank you dear
act i ws totaly nt intresten in gk n all........bt aft reading all this intrestin questions m crazyy abt it..........
thanks a lot......
Q. 11: Information in the public domain shows that the highest peak in India is considered to be K2, Is that wrong or there is some falw in my undersatnding of the said question; Kindly clarify?
K2 is in POK area
Kanchenjunga is the highest peak in India. It is in Sikkim and not in Nepal. Please clarify.
The answer for 11 should be Kancenjunga as it is the 3rd highest peak of World after Everest and K2
sir,
what about kanchenjunga? pls clarify
Q.11: The highest peak in the Indian territory is Kangchenjunga (3rd highest, after Everest and K2), which lies at the Indo-Nepal border in Sikkim.
Thanks for your comments. My question was basically asking the peak which is entirely within the territories of India excluding POK. Of course Kancenjunga is the highest peak, but being Kangchenjunga on the border of India and Nepal, I maintain Nanda devi as a correct answer. To avoid any confusion, let me maintain that
1. The Highest peak in India is Kanchenjunga.
2. The Highest peak entirely in Indian territory, exluding POK is Nanda Devi.
3. The Highest peak in India (Including the area which we claim but has been occupied by Pakistan as POK) : K2
Well thanks a lot sir........i think dis explanation must be sufficient to wash away ol d confusions.
But still if we are not specifically asked and the question says The highest peak in India is.........i think the best one wud be to pik K2. hope i am fyn sir.....
I am not understanding the answer of Q)4.what will be the exact answer.

thnx...........its really a great morning breakfast knowledge for me...........
