  • This integration will help existing eSanjeevani users to easily create their Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA).
  • Users would also be able to use it to link and manage their existing health records.
  • Users can further share their health records with doctors on eSanjeevani, which in turn will help in better clinical decision making and ensuring the continuum of care.
  • The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission aims to build digital highways, in a bid to bridge the gaps in existing digital health solutions and stakeholders in India.”

Significance of the integration

Integration of eSanjeevani with Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission is an example where 22 crore ABHA holders would be able to link and store their health records, that has been created through eSanjeevani in health lockers of their choice. They would also be able share their previously linked health records with doctors on eSanjeevani. Thus, entire consultation process would become paperless.

Variants of eSanjeevani Service

The eSanjeevani service is available in two variants:

  1. eSanjeevani Ayushman Bharat-Health and Wellness Centre (AB-HWC)- It a doctor-to-doctor telemedicine service, using which the beneficiaries visiting a health and wellness centre would be able to virtually connect to doctors in the hub acting as a tertiary healthcare facility, a hospital or a medical college. It will enable the government in providing general and specialised health services in rural areas as well as to isolated communities.
  2. eSanjeevani OPD- This platform is serving patients across India by connecting them directly to doctors from their homes.

Both the variants of eSanjeevani services have been integrated with the ABDM platform. With this integration, this platform has now joined other 40 digital health applications that have completed their ABDM integration.
