India-China ‘Hand-in-Hand 2019’ from 7 to 20 December 2019
The Eighth edition of India-China bilateral training exercise Hand-in-Hand will be conducted from 07 to 20 December 2019 at Umroi, Meghalaya.
The theme for the training exercise: Counter-Terrorism under United Nations mandate
Tibet Military Command comprising 130 personals will represent the Chinese contingent.
Aim of the exercise will be to conduct and practice joint planning of counter-terrorist operations.During the 14-day long training exercise, two tactical exercises are scheduled, one on Humanitarian and Disaster Relief (HADR) and the other on counter-terrorism scenarios.
The exercise will also focus on training drills and lectures associated with counter-terrorist firing with each other’s weapons and handling such situations, a case study of operations carried out to date in the counter-terrorist environment and special heliborne operations.
