The Subhas Brigade, part of the Indian National Army, was named in honor of the great Indian independence leader, Subhash Chandra Bose. Also known as the 1st Guerrilla Regiment, it was under the command of Shah Nawaz Khan. These regiments played a crucial role in India's freedom struggle, symbolizing Indian resistance against British colonial rule. While they did not achieve military victory, they certainly won a psychological one, significantly weakening the resolve of the British to carry on.
