Notes: In 1665 CE, Aurangzeb sent Raja Jai Singh and Diler Khan to weaken the Marathas, successfully besieging Purandar Fort. Shivaji negotiated the Treaty of Purandar, ceding 23 forts and territory worth 4 lakh hons to the Mughals, agreeing to serve as a vassal and assist in Deccan campaigns. Shivaji's son, Sambhaji, was taken to the Mughal court as goodwill.
