Okapi Wildlife Reserve is located in the Ituri Rainforest region in the north-eastern side of the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It forms the habitat of nomadic Mbuti pygmies and indigenous Bantu farmers. The only place we can find "Okapi" is the Ituri Rainforest in the Democratic Region of Congo which is the only nation native and endemic to Okapi. It is also known as forest giraffe, Congolese giraffe or zebra giraffe. According to the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, the Okapi is an endangered species.
