Konark Festival and International Sand Art Festival begins in Odisha

Governor of Odisha, Professor Ganeshi Lal, inaugurated the 30th edition of the Konark festival of classical dance.
The annual 5-day dance festival started on 1st December is being organized in the backdrop of the Sun Temple in Konark, Puri district of Odisha. Konark dance festival showcases the best of India’s classical and traditional dance forms.
The International Sand Art Festival is being organized by the Odisha Tourism Department coinciding with Konark festival at the first beach in Asia to get the blue flag certification, Chandrabhaga beach, located at a distance of 3 Km from Konark.
This year 123 artists from India and seven international countries are participating in the sand art festival.
