June 23: United Nations Public Service Day
June 23 was celebrated as the United Nations Public Service Day. The theme for 2014 is “Innovating Governance for Sustainable Development and Well-being of the People”.
The day is celebrated to remember the priceless contributions of public servants and administrators with the aim to build a better world for all.
