What is China-Stone in Geography?

China-Stone is a type of granite that has been partly kaolinized and that does not contain any dark minerals. Its mineral content includes quartz, feldspar, mica and Kaolinite. It is a hard rock that requires grinding for Kaolin extraction.

It is mainly used for making porcelain. Its discovery in the 18th century was a crucial event in the development of the English porcelain industry.
