QRSAM: Current Affairs, GK & News - 2020-2021

The Quick Rection Surface to Air Missile (QRSAM) technology has been developed by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in association with Bharat Electronics Ltd. The system is to be put in use by the Indian Army. It is a missile system that can be operated during all weather conditions and in all terrain conditions. It can be mounted and launched from a truck. Its average range is 20 to 30 km. It is also equipped with equipment that prevents it from being jammed by aircraft radar. The QRSAM is in its testing stage. Recently, DRDO conducted two trials of the surface to surface missile and achieved highest degree of accuracy. The test has been conducted at the backdrop of prevailing tensions along the border of India and China.
