Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee led West Bengal government has decided to bring legislation in the Assembly for ensuring the job security of Journalists in the State. The West Bengal Government has decided to amend the current Panchayat Act for better performance of 3-tier local bodies. According to the Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Mr. Subrata Mukherjee the present Act will be amended after the coming Panchayat Elections in the state.
