‘Harit Path’ mobile app developed by NHAI

National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, has developed a mobile App called ‘Harit Path’. It aims to monitor the location, growth, species details, maintenance activities, targets and achievements of plantation projects.

YES Bank inks deal to sell its mutual fund business

YES Bank has signed a deal with GPL Finance and Investments (GPLFI), which is owned by White Oak Investment Management, to sell its 100% stake in YES Asset Mana­gement Company (AMC) and YES Trustee Limited. The AMC was managing three debt-oriented mutual fund schemes.

Former Finance Secretary of India Rajiv Kumar has been appointed as the new Election Commissioner. As per the new notification of the Ministry of Law and Justice, Rajiv Kumar is to replace the Election Commissioner Ashok Lavasa, who is to join ADB as a Vice President.

Wildfires at California claims several lives

Massive wildfires blazed across California which claimed several lives and forced tens of thousands of people to evacuate from their homes. Over 2000 square kilometers of forests and rural areas were threatened by the fire. Fire fighters are battling to contain the massive wildfire.
