Notes: Chennaveera Kanavi (1928–2022) coined the slogan "Hesarayitu Karnataka | Usiragali Kannada" from his poem. Kanavi was a key poet in the Navodaya and Navya Kannada literature movements and was known as Soujanyada Kavi (Poet of Courtesy).
