Notes: Ganesh Vasudev Mavalankar, popularly known as 'Dadasaheb', was the first Speaker of the Lok Sabha, serving from 15 May 1952 to 27 February 1956 for the 1st Lok Sabha (1951-52). He previously presided over the Provisional Parliament (1947-52) and Central Legislative Assembly (1946-47). Known as the 'Father of the Lok Sabha' by Nehru, he shaped parliamentary procedures. The first Lok Sabha was constituted on 17 April 1952 post-general elections. He died in 1956 at age 67.
