Notes: Bimbisara was the founder of the Haryanka dynasty and he reigned in Magadha and ruled until approximately 326 B.C.E. when Alexander the Great invaded India. Ajatashatru was the son of King Bimbisara. He killed his father and sat on the throne of Magadha from 493-462 BCE. Ashoka was an Indian emperor of the Maurya Dynasty. He ruled almost all of the Indian subcontinent from c. 268 to 232 BCE.
