Notes: Gomdhar Konwar was an Ahom prince who led one of the earliest revolts against the British in Assam. He was declared the last King of Assam after the British annexed Assam in 1828, which ended Ahom political authority and privileges and led to resistance movements. The Ahom dynasty ruled Assam for nearly six centuries before British annexation.
