Recently Rajendra Kumar Jha became the CEO of Barauni Refinery which is situated at Begusarai. He had joined IOCL in 1988 as a Trainee and was  functioning as the Chief General Manager (TS & HSE). Refinery at Begusarai is the first oil refinery of Bihar. It was opened with the help of erstwhile USSR in 1964.
