Devadatta Ramakrishna Bhandarkar
Devadatta Ramakrishna Bhandarkar (1875-1950) was an archaeologist, epigraphist, and Carmichael Professor of Ancient Indian History and Culture at University of Calcutta (1917-1936). He excavated Nagari, worked with ASI, and met Mahatma Gandhi in 1896 regarding South African Indian issues.
