Thomas Hunt Morgan
Thomas Hunt Morgan is an American zoologist and geneticist, best known for his experimental research with the fruit fly (Drosophila), by which he established the chromosomal theory of heredity. Morgan's work was instrumental in establishing the field of genetics and he is one of the first true geneticists. He received the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine in 1933.
