Baghdeo Singh established the state of Ramgarh in 1368. He was the first ruler from 1368 to 1402. The capital was initially at Sira. Baghdeo Singh declared himself Raja after suppressing rebellions in the Chhota Nagpur region. He established dominance over 22 parganas. Historical records and regional histories attribute the founding of Ramgarh state to him. Other listed individuals are not recorded as founders.
