Notes: In one of his pamphlets published in 1933, Choudhary Rehmat Ali coined the term Pakistan meaning 'land of the pure'. Also, it was an acronym for Punjab, Afghania(NWFP), Kashmir, Indus, and Sindh combined with 'stan' taken from Baluchistan.
