Alai Darwaza, built by Alauddin Khilji in 1311 AD, is the main southern gate of the Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque in the Qutub Minar complex, Delhi. It features a domed entrance of red sandstone with white marble and is one of the first structures in India to use true Islamic architectural principles, including horseshoe arches and geometric patterns.
