Notes: Sikkim celebrates its statehood day on May 16. It marks the day in 1975 when Sikkim was made the 22nd state of India from being a monarchy earlier. Sikkim is the least populous and second smallest among the Indian states. It also became the first state in India to achieve complete organic agriculture production.
