The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh has launched the 'Zero Poverty Programme' in the name of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. The aim is to ensure no one in the state is left without basic facilities and all poor families get benefits of government schemes. The program is inspired by Dr. Ambedkar’s vision of educational, social, and economic upliftment. In each Gram Panchayat, 20–25 families still deprived of basic services will be identified. These families will be provided with houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, toilets, water, electricity, gas connection, Ayushman Bharat card, and pensions.
