Notes: Post-1947, Sutlej is mentioned first in Punjab for water sharing. Indus Waters Treaty (1960) gave eastern rivers—Sutlej, Beas, Ravi—to India, and western rivers—Indus, Chenab, Jhelum—to Pakistan. All five Punjab rivers drain into the Indus before reaching the Arabian Sea.
