Charvaka philosophy is an ancient Indian materialistic atheist philosophy. It accepts only direct evidence and does not accept this theory of supernatural beings. This philosophy is also called Vedabahya.
There are six external Vedas – Charvaka, Madhyamik, Yogachara, Sautrantika, Vaibhasika, and Arhat (Jain). In all these, there is a rendering of the principles inconsistent with the Vedas.
