Located in the Sindh province of Pakistan, it was one of the largest settlements of the ancient Indus Valley civilization, and one of the world's earliest major cities. It was built around 2500 BCE, and was located off the right (west) bank of the lower Indus river in Larkhana District. Archeologists first visited this place in 1911.
