MIKE stands for Monitoring the Illegal Killing of Elephants and was started in the South Asian Region in 2003. the program is under CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora). Countries involved in the project are

Southeast Asia – Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and Viet Nam
