Badain Jaran Desert is located in China. It is the third-largest desert in China. It lies within the Gansu, Ningxia and Inner Mongolia provinces of China. This desert houses some of the tallest stationary dunes on the earth such as the "Bilutu Peak". It is the tallest dune in Asia, also the third-tallest in the world. It is also the world's tallest stationary dune. The mega dunes of the Badain Jaran Desert are also known as "Singing Sand Dunes", "Whistling Sand Dunes" or "Booming Dunes".
