Foy Sagar Lake in Rajasthan was built in 1892 as a famine relief project by the English engineer Foy. Until 1995, it was Ajmer’s main drinking water source before the Bisalpur Dam was constructed. The lake was neglected but revived last year to supply water to nearby regions.
