West Singhbhum district recorded the highest overall sex ratio in Jharkhand as per the 2011 Census. It also led in child sex ratio (0-6 years) at 983, surpassing Pakur (975), Ranchi (938), and East Singhbhum. Jharkhand's state average sex ratio was 948 in 2011. Simdega had a child sex ratio of 969, which was lower than West Singhbhum.
