Notes: Chu-Faat folk dance of Sikkim is performed in the honour of Mount Khangchen-dzonga, the guardian deity of the Sikkimese people. This old folk dance of Lepchas also honours the four associate peaks of Mount Khangchend-zonga: Mt.Pandim, Mt. Kabru, Mt. Simbrum and Mt. Nars-hing.These five peaks are believed to be the storehouse of five hidden treasures such as salt, medicine, minerals, sacred books and food grains.
