Notes: China takes over the chairship of BRICS from India in the year 2022. The theme for BRICS 2022 is “Foster High-Quality BRICS Partnership Usher in a New Era for Global Development". A total of 25 events were planned by the BRICS Science Technology Innovation (STI) Steering Committee, of which India will host a total of five events. BRICS is a grouping of five emerging economies -- Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.
