Notes: Both Sanafir Island and Tiran Island are located in the Straits of Tiran between the Red Sea and Gulf of Aqaba within the maritime borders of Saudi Arabia which was earlier administered by Egypt. Egypt officially ceded the sovereignty of these two Red Sea islands, Tiran and Sanafir, to Saudi Arabia as part of a maritime borders agreement between Egypt and Saudi Arabia. The agreement subsequently was approved by the Egyptian Parliament and finally ratified by the Egyptian President on 24 June 2017.
