Mumbai’s suburban district launched the ‘Saksham Skill Survey’, the first initiative of its kind in India, to assess the skills of youth aged 18–40 and enhance employability. The survey will cover 55,000 households in the H-West ward of Mumbai. Conducted door-to-door using AI, it will collect data on educational qualifications, skill interests, and training needs for employment. It is based on survey results, candidates will be provided a list of government-approved institutions and relevant courses. The aim is to train at least 15,000 candidates by next year and make 5,000 self-reliant through employment or entrepreneurship.
