Ethiopia and Sudan
Ethiopia and Sudan form the basin countries of the Atbarah River. This river is also known as the Black Nile. After rising from northwest Ethiopia, this river flows to Sudan to meet the Nile River at Atbarah city, which forms the last tributary of the Nile River before reaching the Mediterranean Sea. This river houses several dams such as Khashm el-Girba Dam; Rumela and Burdana Dams.
