Chota Nagpur Plateau
The Falgu River originates from the Chota Nagpur Plateau in Jharkhand. It forms from the confluence of the Lilajan (Nilajan/Niranjana) and Mohana rivers, both arising on the Hazaribagh Plateau, part of the northern Chota Nagpur Plateau. The Lilajan River begins north of Simaria in Chatra district. Mohana drains the northern slopes of Hazaribagh Plateau. The origin is not associated with Vindhya, Aravalli, or Kaimur Hills.
