Hypermetropia or Farsightedness, refers to a vision defect that causes the eye to be unable to focus on nearby objects because the eye is either too short or the cornea is of the wrong shape. Hyperopia can be corrected with a convex lens. A convex lens focuses the light in addition to the natural lens and makes the image focus exactly on the retina.
