Notes: The Government of India has decided to allow the use of 'flex engines' in automobiles. Flex Engines are those which can run entirely on ethanol or a blend of petrol and ethanol. These engines would be powered using ethanol out of farm produce in India and the Government has proposed to launch a special scheme in this regard.
