Notes: Baolis are ancient water structures resembling step-wells used for water consumptions, used as resting places among others. The system of step-wells collapsed after decentralisation and agriculture intensification. Union Minister for Culture G. Kishan Reddy inaugurated the Photo exhibition on the Baolis of Delhi “Absent Appearance- A Shifting score of water bodies” on the occasion of World Heritage Day in New Delhi.
